At Steering 3 Billion, we prioritise planet and people over profits. Our funding structure reflects this commitment to fostering sustainable collaboration for positive environmental and societal impact.  While our primary focus is not on maximising profits, we generate revenue to provide a sustainable source of income to support our operations and impactful projects.

 We generate revenue through fee-based services, products, and consulting engagements that align with our mission and values. Our consultancy fees are determined based on the expertise required, the complexity of the project, the time commitment involved, and other relevant factors to ensure fair compensation for the value we provide.

We provide service contracts to clients seeking specialised assistance and support. We seek fair compensation for the expertise and resources invested in delivering high-quality services, considering the the scope, complexity and expertise required for the project, however, low or no-fee options are considered for marginalised or disadvantaged groups. 

We forge strategic partnerships with like-minded businesses, nonprofit organisations, academic institutions, and government agencies. Through these collaborations, we leverage shared resources, expertise, and networks to amplify our impact and achieve collective planetary health goals. 

We actively welcome and pursue grants to support our collaborative projects and actions aligned with our priority Sustainable Development Goals  3.  Good Health and Well-Being, 4.  Quality Education, 12. Responsible Production and Consumption, 13. Climate Action and 17. Partnerships for the Goals. 

Steering 3 Billion is the sole trader business of Kristen MacKenzie-Shalders. Nature Positive Places & Play is a seperate community-led entity that is hosted on the Steering 3 Billion site and auspices under partnering not-for-profit or social enterprises.
